One thing that is critical to using fingernail polish remover/acetone: It melts most all plastics and rubber if it’s in contact for more than a few seconds! You must work very fast and very gentle if you use it. I’d recommend another cleaning agent for anything valuable.

They are lovely and look so simple to make. I do have a question though. As we all know, even the oldest stuck on hot glue can easily be removed simply by heating it up a little with a blow dryer or other heat source. What prevents this from getting all sticking and losing their shape while packed away in the heat of the summer. The attic can get quite warm.

In reply to Kate. Hi Kate, sorry I am not too sure about that. Overlays are also called "fretwork panels" so maybe looking that up may lead you to another supplier of something similar.

In reply to Lorraine. Hi Lorraine, you can find these bowls that are sold separately. Simply look up "mixer bowl". I saw there are some available through Amazon. If you still can't find one, you can simply use a plastic flower pot and attach a smaller container on top from lets say: an empty margarine container? Hope you can can complete your project! :)
