Traditional hummus is made of chickpeas, tahini (sesame paste), garlic, and lemon juice. Olive oil is usually added to hummus as a fine flavor touch. Nowadays, there are numerous variations of hummus and almost all people adapt it to their own taste or make it in a way to comply with the dish they are preparing it for. Hummus is traditionally eaten with falafel, flatbread, and raw vegetables. Hummus is known as a healthy and natural alternative to some more caloric and industrial spreads and dips. Therefore, if you use hummus as the regular part of your diet, you will have a chance to integrate something healthy and eventually drop some weight.

Nuts and Seeds

These foods are great as snacks and are super tasty. Instead of eating a bag full of chips, try eating some almonds and dry food. If you want to elevate your breakfast, you can add these to your regular routine. If you are, for instance, having some oats for your breakfast, you can add some nuts like almond or walnuts, some dry fruit like raisins. It will have a nice and crunchy taste with some fine sweetness. Nuts and seeds may be eaten on their own, or be added to your meals as the regular ingredient and it is what makes them so great.

Fish and Seafood

Fish and seafood are very healthy and nutritious. This is mostly because of the omega 3 acids and iodine which are found in seafood in considerable amounts. Besides this, seafood is high in protein and unsaturated fats which are great for the ones who want to lose some weight. The reason for this is that the one feels full sooner, therefore the size of the portions drop which leads to healthy weight loss. People who have seafood incorporated into their daily diet are known to live longer, have fewer risks of getting sick of some chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and depression. Fish like salmon is a type of oily fish and besides fantastic taste, it has loads of omega-three acids and it contains some vitamin D.

Shrimps are low in fat and calories but very high in protein. It is not just proteins that shrimps are loaded with, but with some other nutrients like selenium and vitamin B12. Tuna is quite a popular red meat fish that tends to be low in fat and calories while exceptionally high in protein. It is good to add tuna to your diet if you are struggling with low protein levels.

Fruits and Veggies

These are classics when it comes to a healthy diet. Besides being mandatory to intake any of these for the best functioning, regular usage of them and using them instead of some less healthy foods can make a considerable difference in your life and everyday functioning. For instance, apples are known to be natural antioxidants containing enough natural sugar and loaded with vitamins that can promote both weight loss and your overall health.
