Your bedroom is one of the most important areas and rooms of your home. You spend a lot of time there doing everything from sleeping, to relaxing, to hanging out, to getting ready. Get a Better Bed

While a storage bed is great, it is not enough storage for most people. As a result, you need other storage solutions around your bedroom. This could be a good-sized closet with drawers in your closet, or maybe an armoire, a dresser, some drawers or a bookcase. If you are lacking, you will have nowhere to put all of your items, and they will turn your room into a cluttered mess. Be sure to consider some clever storage hacks, especially if you don’t have a ton of square footage to work with in your room.

Use the Walls

The walls are one of the most underutilized places in many bedrooms. While they are great places for art, they can also be functional. If you add hooks or shelves, you can use the vertical space in your room for storing everything from books, to decor, to trophies and everything in between. Of course, refrain from filling your walls with too much, as that can look a bit too busy and ruin the aesthetic of the space.

Have a Place for Everything

Having enough storage is great, but you need to be sure to use it well for the best results. When putting things away, ensure that everything has its own place. Be sure to make note of where everything goes, to stop your room from becoming a disaster. Without this step, things can easily get lost or simply stepped over as you’re not sure where it should go.

Consider Getting Rid of Things You Don’t Need

Instead of finding ways to organize and store what you do have, another option to make your bedroom more organized is to get rid of things you don’t need. Most people have much more than they need, and could get rid of a ton of stuff and hardly know it. Every few months, go through your belongings and separate the things you need/want to keep, and the things that can go. From there, decide whether to sell them, give them to friends/family, throw them away or donate them to a worthy cause.
